RECOLLECTED: longing for a home, was a site-specific public art installation at 620 South Street in Long Beach funded by the Arts Council of Long Beach from Sept 2011 - April 2012. LA artist Bari Ziperstien is concerned the absurd culture of collecting domestic objects and the desire associated with redecorating. She installed hundreds of colorful vases from Long Beach thrift stores and creates a window installation in a former commercial space. Since the conclusion of the exhibition, all of the vases have been returned and the project will live on in the homes of the community as each vase is resold featuring a commemorative hangtag, marking the vases participation in this temporary installation.

"Mapping Histories" is Ziperstein's year-long collaboration with five Marlborough Visual Arts classes that utilized Marlborough archival imagery to produce projects related to the past, present, and future of Marlborough and the city of Los Angeles. The work produced by students is installed on top of Ziperstein's site-specific colored tape installation, which maps the architectural history of the site and complements the layered history of Marlborough School.
